Course Admission Criteria

We accept students from the age of 8. There are no minimum academic qualifications for enrolment into our courses nor is there a maximum age limit.

There are, however, minimum entry requirements in terms of language skills. For exam preparatory courses, the minimum entry level is Intermediate level 2.

New students to the school, who are not complete beginners in the language they wish to study, are given a Placement Test before joining a class. This is to ensure that they are placed in a course at an appropriate level to match their learning needs.
The Placement Test can be done here at the School or online

Find out more about the various levels as benchmarked against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) here. Different levels are available for different languages. Visit the specific language pages to find out more.

*Note: Full-time students studying for longer than 4 weeks need to apply for a Student Pass.
