Levels
We use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to define our language levels and our courses are offered from Beginner to Mastery level.
A0 – Beginner
A1 – Elementary
A2 – Pre-Intermediate
B1 – Intermediate
B2 – Upper Intermediate
C1 – Advanced
C2 – Mastery

Outcomes
Course outcomes for each level are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) with descriptions of listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities attainable at each level.

Progress tests
Regular progress tests at the end of each course help the teachers monitor your mastery of each language level of the course.
At the end of your course, you may continue your studies and sign up for the next course level provided you score at least 60% in your progress test.
If you are dissatisfied in any way with your Progress Test results, you may lodge an appeal.

Certificate of Attendance
Upon completion of any course at inlingua Singapore, you may request for a Certificate of Attendance indicating the number of course hours and percentage scores in any tests that you may have taken during the course.
Note: Student Pass Holders are required to attend 90% of their course while all other students are required to attend 80% of their course in order to be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance.
Certificate of Achievement
If you have completed an entire course level (Beginner, Elementary, Pre-intermediate, etc.), you may request for a Certificate of Achievement that states the number of course hours you have attended and your percentage score in the test at the end of the course level.
Note: Students must score an average of 75% in their test scores throughout the course level in order to be eligible for a Certificate of Achievement at the end of the course level.
Formative and summative assessment
Your performance is closely monitored throughout your course and we use different criteria to evaluate the progress you make. We employ continuous oral assessment to evaluate your speaking skills and an end-of-course test to evaluate your listening, reading and writing skills.
In addition, we also take into consideration and evaluate attendance, punctuality, participation and progress to offer a more comprehensive assessment.
